Far beyond the usual clichés of white sandy beaches, a busy metropolis and the Petronas twin towers, the main purpose of this project is to bear witness to those who make Malaysia such an inspiring South East Asian country.
Famous or anonymous, each and every one of these intimate portraits reveals the different Faces of Malaysia and, above all, their story.
Created as a tribute to a country and its people, Faces of Malaysia intends to reveal, with emotion and respect, the very heart and soul of a marvelous country.
Faces of Malaysia was an obvious choice for a project for Arnaud Blondel.
After having now spent several years living in Malaysia and after the creation of his own company, Samacom+ (a Production company providing videos and websites), his deepest desire became to share, with the world, the multiples faces of his new homeland.
After meeting Alexandra Le Vaillant, ex-director of Le Petit Journal Kuala Lumpur and chief editor of the new website KLismine, a collaboration between the two came to light in the form of this project.
