Story of an ordinary Iban Woman becomes a multi awards Master Weaver.

Kapit, Sarawak a little village deep in the jungle of Borneo, only access by tinny boats through small rivers. At a longhouse – Rumah Gareh, lives a living art – Bangie Anak Embol.

This is her story. An ordinary Iban Woman becomes a multi awards Master Weaver.

Before she became known. Her life was a journey of misfortune, livelihood, struggles, uncertainties, and many tests of faith. But, she continues to persevere and delegate her life to Pua Kumbu. Today, Bangie has received many awards, includes those from Unesco. And travel around the world with authorities and museum to preserve Borneo’s highest form of art and her ethnic legacy.
